Itinerary

  • Theory (Fully comprehensive manual with 80+ pages of information, carefully curated by our Educator team with 10+ years’ experience combined, to give you a thorough education & understanding on Lip Blush & Lip Liner SPMU, whilst giving the most up to date tips & tricks)

  • Live demonstration (Whilst training with us at St. Helens Academy of Beauty, you will see a minimum of at least one* live demonstration, from one of our highly experienced SPMU Educators. You also have the option to film & photograph this part of the session, to refer to in the future. *On occasion, depending on how many models are available, we will endeavour to provide as many live demonstrations, as time allows.

  • Practise. Of course, you will practise on a Live Model of your own (more info on models below) but before you do, we encourage our students to spend some time practising using Faux Skin (provided by us – of course!) Our SPMU Educator/s will oversee everything you do, including practise on the Faux Skins, meaning you have plenty of time to perfect your technique with the help of the Educator team on hand to give you advice/tips & direction. This practise time really gives you a great opportunity, to get to grips with the machine, needles & pigments and generally just perfecting the correct, hygienic set up & PPE.

  • Live Model. Before leaving, you will complete a live, practical assessment on a real life model. This begins usually at 3pm and is the final element of the course, this usually ends at 5pm. (Model info below) After this, you will then receive your certification, and have the option to purchase a kit or any items of stock you’d like, from our range of SPMU Supplies available in store.

Will I Need a Model?

We strongly recommend providing your own model for training, especially if you have specific requirements that you’d like for your first model. If you cannot bring a model with you, then please be aware that you may be needed to model for another student & vice versa, please don’t be surprised if you are asked to model for another student. We do have a private group for Models that live in our local area, where we advertise model slots (we have over 1,100 members that are patch tested and live within a 3-5 mile radius) so it is likely that we can provide a model as a backup, but it is not always guaranteed. If you cannot provide a model yourself, please email admin@sthelensbeautyacademy.com to make our admin department aware, or add it to your booking message before checkout.
